Cross your fingers…

So (knock on wood) I think I found an apartment in Arlington! It’s walking distance to the Ballston metro and all the fun restaurants and stores.

It’s small but it’s the first place that I’ll be able to call my own! So maybe a little premature but it calls for a celebratory drink (and every Friday I post a cocktail)

The Bellini is similar to a mimosa but is a peachy version. Rumor has it the story behind the drink is that it was created in the 1930’s in Venice Italy by a bartender named Giuseppe Cipriani and was deamed “Bellini” after Cipriani’s favorite artist Giovanni Bellini. Although you can use champagne, originally the Bellini was intended to use sparkling Italian wine and is still made that way in Italy.

2 oz peach juice or peach puree
4 oz Sparkling Italian Wine or Champagne

Pour the peach juice or peach puree into a Champagne flute
Slowly add the Champagne.
Sip and Enjoy!
